Monday blogs.

Hello everyone. I’ve been working hard on my Pinterest page over the last couple of weeks and am pleased to see my monthly unique views numbers have grown, which in turn has brought new readers to this blog. Welcome! I’m currently updating my first three books with new covers, branding across my website and social media pages and to hopefully let readers know that my books are a great addition for a trip to the beach, or to snuggle up with at any time.

I like writing stories that uplift and make my readers smile at the antics of my characters, so although I do plot chapters and know where my story is going, I’m often surprised by something my characters do as I’m writing about them and this makes me smile too. It’s almost as if I’m reading the story as I’m writing it.

My ‘to do’ list seems never ending, but I try and blog twice every week, network and have a chat to people on social media and still find time to write. This can be tricky, but when I’m enjoying a story, I can’t wait to get back to it.

My latest story is about a woman who runs a business by the sea that has been in her family for generations. Her parents and grandad announce one day that they are selling the business, moving on and not looking back, without explanation. Being stubborn and refusing to lose her heritage, she tries to save their failing business, but soon discovers  the reason her family left so suddenly. It blows her world apart and makes her realise that she never really knew her family at all.

I’ve written about 55k of the book so far and although there is so much still to do, the end  of the book doesn’t feel so far way. What are you all working on this week? How do you find time to fit in everything you need to do in a day?
