As part of the wonderful Bethany Turner ‘PAY IT FORWARD’ week, I am supporting a different author for three days again this week. This is the third PIF month now and it is a really great way to learn more about some incredible writing talents.
Today I am introducing author Beth Hale. Read on to find out more about her!
Beth Hale grew up on a small farm on the Tennessee / Mississippi line. While she no longer lives on the farm, she does live in a small Mississippi town with her real-life hero, Nathan, and their two amazing children, Clay and Lily.
By night, Beth works as an E-911 dispatcher. She loves her job but writing is her real passion. When she’s not planted in her dispatch chair, you can usually find her at home, putting her characters’ lives down on paper.
There is nothing she loves more than to curl up with a great cup of coffee, an even better book, and a cozy blanket. When she’s not working at her “day job”, she carves out time for writing her own stories before she indulges in reading sprees.
Some great reviews for Beth’s novel, Trusting Jack.
5 stars!
This was a great first book. The plot was interesting and the characters were well thought out. I kept wondering what would happen next. There was humor, too. I even laughed out loud a few times. I like the fact that it a light romance book, there’s no extra graphic love scenes. She wrote those very well. It was an easy read. I really hope there is a follow up to this book.
5 starts!
This is a tender story with so much heart in it that it overflows as each chapter merges into the next. Beth had me hooked from the beginning of the story, as Emma was cast aside by Ryan without a hint of compassion. The platonic love between her and Chris was like siblings and the coziness between the two of them was like a warm blanket in front of the fire on a autumn day. As the story went on, I felt I was there with Emma as she took on the world with new strength and determination. When Jack entered the story I found a new story emerge and the stage was set for endless possibilities for the young woman from Mississippi as she took on London and their relationship blossomed and transformed into what I wanted to happen for her. There is a sexiness to it as well, but I found that she had balanced it out well with rest of the story. Also I enjoyed the friendship between Emma and her assistant Norah as it matured from a working relationship into a close friendship. Well written Beth, and most enjoyable!
