Monday marketing. 3 quick tips.

Lit happens meme by Lizzie Chantree

Hi everyone. Happy new week. How are you all? I hope you are all safe and well and managing to stay inspired and creative somehow, even in isolation. As it’s Monday, I thought I’d share a few quick marketing tips with you.

Today’s ideas are about our websites. Now is a good time to update your websites or blogs and make them stand out from the crowd. Are you optimising your sites?

  1. Is your author bio up to date and on brand? Does it reflect the genre you write in or your products?
  2. Are there any online learning courses you can find to help optimise your website to  reach more customers? You can also help by adding keywords to your blog and website post text. Think about words people might use to search for a product like yours and add it somewhere naturally in the text. I have underlined examples here. Don’t add too many as this gets confusing, but using keywords in titles, metadata, page URL’s and about once every 100-200 words might help boost your visibility. After adding keywords to my Pinterest page to link to this blog, my website views are up 50% in a few days. Keywords do matter.
  3. Make sure your website is mobile friendly and can easily be viewed from phones. This is a popular way to view websites and it might benefit you if your website is easily downloaded and viewed on phones and iPads.

Have an amazing week and stay safe and well. From Lizzie.
