This week’s guest is Zoe Allison. Zoe is a wonderful romance author, published with totally Bound Books and if you are on TikTok, you are missing out if you haven’t popped by her TikTok page! It’s hilarious and full of fun and I’m always keen to see what she is doing next. Zoe posts about her writing life, research, imposter syndrome, reviews and all kinds of bookish traits that many of us have.
Zoe lives in Scotland with her husband and two children. A medic by day, she started writing in her spare time as a means to counter burn out and found that this was a balm for the soul. She is a fan of the romantic genre and its ‘happy ever after’ ethos. A sharp contrast to what she can, at times, see in her day job. Zoe is keen for the female lead in romantic fiction to disabuse stereotypes and walk on an equal footing with her male counterparts. She prefers male leads who do not display signs of toxic masculinity and believes that positive masculinity is much more attractive to women and healthier for men.
Valentino has a secret—but he’s not the only one. Valentino Bianco is the leader of a covert league named The Organization. Made up of benevolent vampires, its objective is to thwart and destroy the malevolent of their kind and protect humanity. Operating under the anonymous guise of Mr. X, Valentino’s identity as leader is shrouded in secrecy, as is the very existence of vampires. Victoria Black has her own secrets, one of which is that she’s in love with Valentino. However, that isn’t the only matter she must keep from him at all costs. Valentino and Victoria, along with their allies, must investigate a devastating malevolent campaign that is destroying humankind on a massive scale. But can they unravel the mystery of who is behind it in time to prevent the fall of both humanity and The Organization?
And in the end, will all the secrets be revealed?

Thanks for having me, Lizzie!
Interested to read about your activity on Tik Tok – I’m yet to dive into this. Do you recommend? I haven’t read any of your books (yet) but they sound fascinating. And very interested to read also that you use your writing to balance some of the grim things you see as a medic. Good luck with everything and keep safe.
